Job Description

As a skilled and experienced fitter, your role involves reviewing specifications and plans before fitting, replacing, or constructing parts and equipment using machinery and tools. You will be required to adhere to health and safety standards while performing the following duties: - Using welding equipment - Performing maintenance checks - Making, assembling, and disassembling metal parts and tools - Operating Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines - Drilling, machining, and milling - Configuring and fine-tuning metalworking machinery - Manually creating fitting components - Fitting and assembling metal parts and tools - Checking the quality of finished products - Implementing Preventative Maintenance programs for cooling & heating systems - Monitoring and developing new schedules for equipment & plant - Performing scheduled and ad-hoc safety checks - Investigating failures and making recommendations for improvements - Conducting general maintenance within a factory environment, including blowmoulding, filling machines, packaging equipment, boilers, and refrigeration systems. Requirements: - Competent use of hand and power tools - Interpretation of blueprints for mechanical systems - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Relevant trade qualification (mechanical or electrical) - Proven experience working as a fitter - Team player with a positive attitude - Maintenance software experience (e.g., MEX) - For international candidates: Demonstrated English language proficiency, usually involving passing an IELTS or equivalent test. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule, requiring in-person work at the specified location.,
