Fitter

Job Summary:

The Fitter will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and maintaining precision-engineered components and machinery parts according to technical drawings and specifications. The role demands a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and hands-on mechanical skills to ensure quality and dimensional precision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Perform precision fitting, alignment, and assembly of components using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
• File, grind, drill, and ream parts to ensure proper fit and finish.
• Assemble and install mechanical systems and sub-assemblies with close tolerances.
• Inspect completed components to verify conformance to specifications using gauges, micrometers, and calipers.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues during assembly or operation.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in a clean and organized condition.
• Adhere to all safety and quality standards of the organization.
• Collaborate with machinists, welders, and design engineers for modification or improvement of components.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong understanding of precision fitting and assembly techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings.
• Proficient in the use of precision measuring tools and instruments.
• Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
• Basic understanding of machining and fabrication processes.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong focus on quality and attention to detail.

Qualification and Experience:

• Education: ITI / Diploma in Fitter, Mechanical, or related trade.
• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Preferred Industry: Machine tools, aerospace, defense, automotive component manufacturing, or similar precision industries.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
