Fitter Technician

Job Description

Key Responsibilities Assembly & Installation: Assemble mechanical and electrical components into machinery. Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct tests to ensure machinery operates correctly; diagnose and resolve any issues that arise during the assembly process. Interview Guy Quality Control: Inspect components and final assemblies to verify they meet specified standards and tolerances. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery, ensuring they remain in optimal working condition. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, inspections, and any modifications made. Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and other team members to meet production goals and address any challenges that arise. Qualifications & Skills Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required; vocational training or an Associate’s degree in manufacturing technology is often preferred. Experience: Prior experience in mechanical assembly or a related field is advantageous. Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and blueprints; skilled in using hand and power tools. Hiring Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions. Attention to Detail: Meticulous in ensuring all components are assembled correctly and meet quality standards. Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy parts and stand for extended periods. Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and report on progress.
