As a fitter, your main responsibility will be to fabricate, fit, and assemble mechanical systems and structural components to ensure they meet project specifications and quality standards. Your key responsibilities will include analyzing blueprints and technical drawings, using welding equipment to securely join components, inspecting finished products for accuracy and quality, performing maintenance checks and repairs on mechanical systems, and conducting diagnostic testing to identify and solve malfunctions. Additionally, you will be required to maintain accurate records of your work and materials used while adhering to all safety regulations and standards on the worksite. To qualify for this role, you should have a high school qualification or equivalent, with relevant technical certifications being preferred. You must also have proven experience as a fitter or in a similar role within the manufacturing industry, with strong knowledge of welding techniques and familiarity with hand and power tools such as saws and drills. As a successful candidate, you should be proficient in using welding equipment and other relevant machinery, possess good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, and demonstrate strong organizational skills to efficiently manage multiple tasks. A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is required for this position.
