Fish Cutter & Cleaner - Duties & Responsibilities

Fish Cutting & Cleaning

• Clean, scale, gut, and fillet fish accurately.
• Remove bones and unwanted parts as per customer or kitchen specifications.
• Cut fish into required portions (whole, steak, fillet, curry cut, etc.).

Hygiene & Safety

• Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation and tools.
• Dispose of fish waste properly and regularly.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.

Quality Control

• Check the freshness and quality of fish before processing.
• Reject spoiled or poor-quality fish.

Customer Service (if in a retail setting)

• Interact politely with customers.
• Take and prepare customer-specific cutting instructions.

Inventory & Storage

• Properly store fish in ice or cold storage to prevent spoilage.
• Assist in stock rotation (FIFO – First In, First Out).
• Report low stock or spoilage to the supervisor.

Tool Maintenance

• Sharpen and maintain knives and cutting tools regularly.
• Ensure all equipment is clean and in good working condition.

Support Team Operations

• Assist in unloading fish deliveries.
• Help with general cleaning and other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Education:

• Secondary(10th Pass) (Preferred)

Experience:

• 5G: 2 years (Required)
