Firewall Engineer

You should have hands-on experience with Checkpoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Cloud Firewalls, as well as knowledge of Enterprise Security and advanced Networking including Routing, Switching, Load Balancer, and Cloud. You will be responsible for tasks such as Firewall Upgrades & Updates, Migrations, New Implementations, and maintenance. It is important to be familiar with scripting languages like Python, Ansible, Terraform, or any cloud automation language, as well as Linux operating systems and commands. Ideally, you should have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience working with at least one of the firewall platforms mentioned above. Your responsibilities will include installing, configuring, maintaining, and decommissioning Checkpoint and Fortinet Firewalls, as well as working with Hardware Appliance and Virtual Firewalls in hybrid public cloud environments. Knowledge of BGP/OSPF routing protocols is essential, along with the ability to analyze network traffic on firewalls and troubleshoot network connectivity issues. You should be able to develop scripts to automate monotonous activities and Firewall deployments, ensure configurations are in line with security standards, perform software and security updates, and administer firewalls and virtual private networks (VPNs). Participating in security audits and risk assessments, documenting firewall policies and procedures, staying updated on security trends, deploying, configuring, and maintaining security systems, and designing and implementing security solutions for enterprise networks are also part of the role. Monitoring network activity, enforcing strong policies, responding to security incidents, investigating potential security breaches, providing technical support, troubleshooting Firewall issues, mentoring junior team members, and being flexible to work in off-hours, weekends, and 24x7 on-call rotation are additional responsibilities expected in this position.,
