Firewall Engineer

As a Firewall L1 at our company, you will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: - Strong knowledge and minimum 2 years hands-on experience in 2 or more areas of security like: - Firewalls: Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco - Web ATP: Palo Alto - Firewall Rule Analyser: Algo Sec - Network Intrusion Prevention System (NIPS): Cisco - Malicious IP Blocking: Net Scout - Firewall policy management - Reviewing firewall change requests based on security standards set by the customer - Monitoring network security devices for any potential outages - Communicating with vendors if required to fix operational issues - Analyzing the triggered alarms in the NIPS/ATP and reporting to the customer - Daily ticket management (change/service request) - Taking backups for all SOC devices on a daily basis and moving the backups to external storage - Firewall policy optimization & fine-tuning based on the Algosec firewall analyser - Maintaining the firewall policy security rating above 95 You will be working full-time at our office in Chennai.
