Fire Safety Officer

• Develop and implement fire safety policies and procedures.
• Inspect buildings and equipment to detect fire hazards and enforce regulations.
• Ensure all fire-fighting equipment is properly maintained and functional.
• Monitor fire alarms and fire suppression systems for operability.
• Compliance & Audits:
• Ensure compliance with national and local fire safety regulations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and fire safety inspections.
• Maintain necessary documentation as required by regulatory authorities.
• Training & Drills:
• Conduct fire safety training and evacuation drills for all employees.
• Train fire wardens and emergency response teams within the organization.
• Incident Management:
• Respond to emergencies such as fires or hazardous material spills.
• Investigate and report incidents, near misses, and accidents.
• Recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Liaison & Coordination:
• Liaise with fire department, local authorities, and safety consultants.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure safety practices are followed.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain logs of fire safety checks, drills, incidents, and maintenance.
• Prepare and submit periodic safety reports to management.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or Degree in Fire and Safety Engineering or related field.
• Certification in Occupational Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fire and safety management.
• Knowledge of fire protection systems, safety audits, and emergency preparedness.
• Familiar with relevant legislation (e.g., NBC, IS Codes, Factories Act).
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond swiftly in emergencies.

Working Conditions:

• Regular site visits and inspections.
• May require working in shifts or on-call availability.
• Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
