Financial Analyst - International Tax

As an Assistant in the tax department at CRISIL International, your responsibilities will include: - Preparing draft returns for various taxes such as income-tax, sales and use tax, VAT, and wealth tax, and providing support for related filings. - Supporting the monthly accounting of tax provisions including current tax, deferred tax, and reconciling the effective tax rate. - Ensuring meticulous documentation of tax positions taken to create a permanent file. - Proactively managing compliance processes and supporting files to expedite the delivery of obligations each year. - Assisting in identifying opportunities to implement technology and automation to enhance business outcomes and reduce manual input. - Supporting transfer pricing compliance by ensuring that documentation and processes adhere to both local and international laws. - Establishing relationships with finance, legal, and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate the collation and review of information necessary for compliance work. Qualifications required for this role: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Strong understanding of direct and indirect tax concepts. - Prior experience in tax compliance and provision accounting. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - Familiarity with tax technology and automation tools is a plus.
