The Finance Accounting Specialist performs relatively complex assignments with a direct impact on the business by ensuring the quality of the tasks or services provided. You will work under little to no direct supervision and may service an expansive and/or diverse array of products/services. It is essential to apply working knowledge of technical and professional principles and concepts, as well as in-depth knowledge of team objectives. You should understand how your assigned duties contribute to the work of the team/unit and how the units coordinate their efforts and resources to achieve the objectives of the function. Ensuring the quality and service of yourself and others is a key responsibility. You may recommend new options to enhance productivity in accordance with guidelines, requiring tact and diplomacy when exchanging complex or sensitive information with others. Sensitivity to audience diversity is also crucial. Basic knowledge of the organization, the business, and its policies is required. You will typically be responsible for resolving basic to moderately complex problems based on practice and precedence, assessing the applicability of similar experiences, and evaluating options under circumstances not covered by procedures. Responsibilities include working under little to no direct supervision delivering on assigned accounting tasks, servicing an expansive and/or diverse array of products/services, working as part of the team/unit to deliver assigned duties, coordinating efforts and resources to achieve the function's objectives, performing relatively complex clerical assignments, impacting the business directly by ensuring task/service quality, seeking new options to enhance productivity in accordance with guidelines, using tact and diplomacy when exchanging complex or sensitive information, applying basic knowledge of the organization, the business, and its policies while delivering responsibilities, and appropriately assessing risk when making business decisions. Qualifications for this role include having 2-4 years of experience in accounting management, with a minimum educational requirement of a High School diploma or equivalent.
