Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting Operations

  • Manage end-to-end accounting operations: Billing, Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), General Ledger (GL), Cost Accounting, Revenue Recognition.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end financial close process.
  • Prepare financial statements: income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Policies, Processes & Controls

  • Develop, document, and enforce accounting policies, SOPs, and internal controls to safeguard assets and maintain data integrity.
  • Streamline and improve accounting systems, processes, and controls for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Research and apply technical accounting standards (IND AS, IFRS) to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Deliver detailed financial reports and MIS dashboards for stakeholders and management.
  • Analyse financial data to monitor expenditures, assess performance, and forecast revenues.
  • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis aligned with strategic goals.
  • Support data-driven decision-making through financial modelling and scenario planning.
  • Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and central government regulations, including direct and indirect taxation.
  • Manage statutory reporting, tax filings, and regulatory submissions.
  • Coordinate internal, statutory, and external audits; resolve audit findings promptly.
  • Strategic Finance & Risk Management

  • Evaluate financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Formulate and execute financial strategies aligned with long-term company goals.
  • Manage capital structure: private equity, ECB loans, NCDs, and international financing sources.
  • Provide strategic inputs for investment decisions, cost optimization, and capital allocation.
  • Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead functions: Finance, Accounts, MIS, and Taxation.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial and business goals.
  • Handle additional controllership responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant

  • 1215 years of post-qualification experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Strong leadership qualities; effective team leader
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in accounting / ERP software
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
