Finance Data analyst

As a Financial Data Analyst, your role will involve supporting the finance department in producing accurate and timely financial reports, conducting basic analysis, and contributing to the continuous improvement of reporting processes. This position is ideal for someone eager to learn, possessing strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an interest in financial analysis and data reporting. Your responsibilities will include developing, automating, compiling, and analyzing data. Your key responsibilities will include assisting in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, collaborating with senior team members to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, designing and creating analysis and reports with visual representations, maintaining forecasting databases/tools, performing basic analysis on financial data, providing insights to support decision-making, ensuring data accuracy and consistency, maintaining and updating financial reporting systems, integrating and mining large data sets, identifying opportunities for process improvement, working closely with FP&A and other finance teams, and communicating findings effectively. The ideal candidate for this position should have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, with a major in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Analytics being preferred. Strong Microsoft Office skills are required, along with an understanding of financial statements and key financial metrics. An analytical mindset, business intelligence skills, effective communication abilities, attention to detail, autonomy in work, effective organization and time management skills, understanding of developing data requirements, knowledge of Excel, BI, SQL, and experience in analyzing data are also required. A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience is necessary, along with advanced Microsoft Office skills, exposure to Visual Basic, and previous experience with SQL and Business Intelligence tools being preferred.
