Field Recruiter

Role Objective

To drive high-volume blue-collar recruitment for Lift/Elevator Technicians, Installation Technicians, Service Technicians and Helpers through extensive field sourcing, local market networking and mobilisation of candidates from ITIs, polytechnics, technical institutes and relevant industry clusters.

Key Responsibilities

1. Field-Level Recruitment

• Drive end-to-end recruitment for blue-collar technical positions, primarily Lift Technicians, Elevator Installation Technicians, Service & Maintenance Technicians and Helpers.
• Visit local markets, industrial areas, workshops and technical institutes to identify potential candidates.
• Source candidates from elevator companies, electrical contractors, mechanical workshops, HVAC and related industries.
• Build a strong pipeline of skilled, semi-skilled and entry-level technical manpower.

2. Local Market Mapping & Sourcing

• Develop relationships with ITIs, polytechnic colleges, vocational training centres and placement agencies.
• Conduct recruitment drives and walk-in interviews at identified locations.
• Leverage local references, contractor networks, employee referrals and technician communities.
• Map competitor organisations and identify available technical manpower in the local market.

3. Candidate Screening & Mobilisation

• Assess candidates on relevant technical exposure, electrical/mechanical knowledge and practical experience.
• Evaluate experience in lift installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair, wherever applicable.
• Coordinate practical assessments and technical interviews with the respective teams.
• Mobilise candidates from nearby towns and cities based on business requirements.

4. Joining & Retention

• Manage candidate follow-ups, salary negotiations, documentation and joining formalities.
• Ensure candidates join as per agreed timelines.
• Maintain engagement with selected candidates until joining.
• Track early attrition and gather feedback to improve hiring quality.

5. Recruitment MIS

• Maintain daily sourcing, interview, selection, offer and joining trackers.
• Monitor hiring TAT, joining ratios and sourcing effectiveness.
• Share daily and weekly recruitment updates with the TA team.

Required Skills

• Strong field sourcing and blue-collar recruitment experience.
• Good understanding of technical and ITI-level manpower markets.
• Ability to source candidates through local networks and field visits.
• Strong negotiation and candidate mobilisation skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territories.
• Target-oriented approach and ability to manage volume hiring.

Educational Qualification

• Graduate in any discipline. MBA/PGDM in HR will be an added advantage.
