Description:

Field Maintenance Engineer is a role with the purpose to manage the telecom BTS sites. FME

along with the Rigger will perform preventive maintenance of the site and rectify the faults in

time.

Responsibilities

• FME must have sound knowledge on Nokia/Ericsson/Samsung/Huawei/ZTE Equipment.

• Must have knowledge on type of Technology which is currently in use. (Like:-

2G/FDD/TDD/L-2100/L-900/SMALL CELL/Twin beam/CA/MIMO.etc.)

• Must Have detailed knowledge of troubleshooting the Equipment ( Like:- Air scale BTS,

FSMF etc.)

• Must have knowledge of MW equipment and its troubleshooting. (Like: - Flexi

hopper/SDH/PDH/CERAGON IP-10/IP-20 IDU equipments).

• Must have experience of Alarm handling and troubleshooting of BTS as well as MW

Equipment.

• Ensure 24x7 operational functionality

• Monitor adherence of quality control standards at the site

• Sync up with all Domain on regular basis to identify their needs and opportunities for

Network improvement

• Adoring all Process and necessary Tools utilization

• Ensure 100% Adherence to OHS

• Timely closure of Work Orders without any delay

• Coordination with Media Partners for Media Provisioning and Fault rectification

• Coordination with Infra team for any site Hygiene and infra related issues

• CATS Activity, materials receiving

• Supporting events.( like G20, IPL &WC match)

• Example of site activities: MW RSL correction, UBR RSL correction, Packet loss

clearance, TNL issue clearance, MW Error clearance, CEN Port handover, Port bundling

activity, FTTH, Aviate-Band, migration activity, RTN Upgradation, BBU Card De-grow

activity, VSWR Alarms clearance, UBBPb2 to UBBPe2 card swap activity, BBU

Consolidation activity, Baseband faulty replacement, Physical optimization, HW

replacement, GSM antenna replacement(4&6 Port), MW hop rerouting and migration,

GPS Synchronization Clock Alarm, External Alarms Clearnce with Toco,

• Fault handling with minimum MTTR

Requirements -

• Understanding of Operation processes & Quality standards

• Understanding of 2G, 4G, 5G systems

• Understanding of MW, UBR, Fiber systems

• Confident, and Self-Motivated

• Ability to communicate with employees at all levels in the organization

• Knowledge of various field tools

• Soft Skill & Behavioral Competency: Effective communication, Persuading &

Influencing, Collaborative, Positive Attitude, Adaptive and Team Player

• Should have 5G handset

Key Job Responsibility –

• Implement Operation Processes.

• Interface with Rigger, SMEs, TOCO, Infra team

• Track the KPI’s and SLA deliverables

• Maintain site uptime

Skills, knowledge and experience to be successful in position:

a) Technical Acumen

• Working knowledge in 2G/4G/5G Technology.

• Hands on experience in Operation KPIs – RAN, TX, Backhaul, Hygiene.

• Experience in Collaborating & engaging with TOCO & Infra partners.

• Multi-OEM based knowledge.
