Job Description
On-Site Deployment & Support:
-
Travel to EV fleet operator locations, workshops, and customer sites to install, configure, and test ITUS EV Scanner devices.

Perform hardware installations, ensuring proper connections to CANBus, RS485, DoIP over OBD-II or other EV connectors and/or any relay interfaces.

Work closely with fleet operators and workshop technicians to ensure seamless integration of ITUS devices.

Troubleshoot on-site issues, including connection failures, incorrect data streams, or power supply problems.

Train customers and technicians on using ITUS for vehicle diagnostics and performance monitoring.
Data Collection & Processing:

Understand real-time vehicle parameters such as battery voltage, current, State of Charge (SoC), State of Health (SoH), temperature, and fault codes received from CANBus.

Design and interpret JSON data packets for data transmission.

Use Node-RED to design data flows for processing, transforming, and storing EV data.
-
Implement data pipelines for secure transmission of EV telemetry to cloud-based monitoring platforms.
Monitoring & Backend Support:

Maintain a comprehensive database of ITUS installations, tracking device status, vehicle details, and diagnostic logs.

Track inventory levels for ITUS devices and related hardware, coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely replacements or upgrades.

Monitor ITUS device health, ensuring all deployed units are online and functioning correctly.

Set up automated alerts for device failures, disconnections, or abnormal data patterns.

Generate weekly reports summarizing ITUS device performance, vehicle diagnostics, and any operational issues

Technical Improvement & Customer Interaction:

Work with the product and R&D teams to report on-field observations and suggest improvements for ITUS hardware and firmware.

Assist in deploying firmware and software updates (FUOTA), ensuring that the latest features and security protocols are applied.

Provide feedback to refine installation procedures, device compatibility, and user experience.

Assist customers in troubleshooting issues and ensure they get maximum value from the ITUS solution.

Participate in post-installation quality checks (QC) and conduct field audits to ensure compliance with installation standards.
Required Skills & Experience:
-
Hands-on experience with CANBus, Modbus, and device configurations.

Familiarity with EV data parameters.

Experience working with IoT devices and edge computing solutions.

Knowledge of JSON data structures and API communication.

Proficiency in Node-RED for data processing and visualization.
-
Strong troubleshooting skills in hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

Excellent communication and technical documentation skills with the ability to handle multiple communication platforms and channels effectively.

Strong proficiency in written and spoken English (for global customer base). IELTS, TOEFL, or other scores may be submitted.

Ability to travel frequently and work directly with customers at their locations.
Qualifications

Bachelor s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, IoT, Embedded Systems, or a related field.

4+ years of experience in IoT deployments, or automotive telematics, preferably in EV diagnostics.

Experience in working with IoT operators, automotive service providers, or telematics companies.
-
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for IoT data storage and analytics.
