Field Executive

As a Field Operator, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe operation and maintenance of equipment within the plant. You will need to abide by safe operating procedures, act as a first responder to emergencies, and suggest safety improvements. Additionally, you will be responsible for the safe handling of hazardous materials and plant wastes, as well as contributing to housekeeping efforts. Your role will also involve supporting contract workmen on safe working practices, monitoring and controlling field equipment as per standard operating procedures, coordinating closely with shift superintendents and panel executives, and collecting and delivering samples from the field for laboratory testing. It is essential that you report any abnormal observations promptly to the shift engineer or panel executive and perform condition monitoring using portable instruments. Furthermore, you will be required to perform minor troubleshooting and maintenance tasks, contribute towards waste reduction and proper handling of chemicals, operate equipment efficiently, and identify opportunities for improvement. You must also adhere to the latest safety guidelines and management guidelines such as TQM, EFQM, QCC, and 5S. In terms of education, you should have a B.Sc. or Diploma in Chemical Engineering, ITI, or NCTVT. As for experience, a B.Sc. or Diploma holder should have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, while an ITI candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in field operations. Key skills and competencies for this role include good housekeeping practices, upkeep of fire and safety equipment in your area, maintaining field logbooks and checklists, waste segregation, monitoring equipment health, and fulfilling identified training needs for yourself.
