Well versed with BOM & costings and ability to find defects in the BOM created by team Preferred candidate profile As a manager of our design & innovation teams, you will play a pivotal role in motivating and encouraging internal and external design & innovation teams. Ensuring structural drawings and designs, cost estimates & Bom are produced on time, to a high quality, and are easy to decipher. Overseeing the design process using technical expertise to optimize the material utilization, ease of manufacturing and standardization to the maximum extent. You will collaborate with Sales & CRM team, clients, and manufacturing teams & partners to conceptualize, design, and deliver innovative packaging solutions that meet functional requirements of clients and while ensuring alignment with industry standards, regulatory compliance, and sustainability goals, optimize logistics, and enhance brand visibility. Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in industrial design, packaging engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field. - Extensive experience (15 years) in a manager role within the industrial packaging industry, structural design and allied handling a team of 5 direct reportees and 10 indirect reportees. From a company having a turnover of 200 cr plus with a proven track record of delivering innovative packaging solutions for diverse applications alternately from a manufacturing industry with exposure to packaging. - Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., 3D SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc) and, with strong technical drawing and visualization skills. - Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage complex projects, and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. - Understanding of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and supply chain dynamics, with a focus on optimizing packaging performance, cost, and sustainability. - Passion for innovation, problem-solving, and creative thinking, with a demonstrated ability to translate customer insights and market trends into actionable design solutions. - Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, with a proactive approach to staying updated on industry developments, technological advancements, and design trends.
