Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Patient Education:
Fertility nurses educate patients about fertility treatments, procedures, and potential outcomes, including explaining the risks and benefits of different options.
Treatment Administration:
They administer fertility medications, including injections, and assist with procedures like IUI (intrauterine insemination) and IVF (in vitro fertilization).
Monitoring and Assessment:
Fertility nurses monitor patients' reproductive cycles, track progress, and assess their physical and emotional well-being.
Assistance with Procedures:
They assist physicians during diagnostic imaging like ultrasounds, and with procedures like egg retrieval and embryo transfer.
Specimen Collection:
They collect and prepare blood samples for laboratory testing, including hormone level monitoring.
Medication Management:
They coordinate medication protocols, ensuring patients understand how to take their medications and manage potential side effects.
