• Role Overview : Software Engineer (Fast API)

We are seeking a driven and experienced Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. Reporting to the Lead Software Engineer - Backend, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining the backend systems that power our web applications and AI-driven features. This role requires hands-on expertise in Node.js, Python, real-time systems, queuing mechanisms, and database design. Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions that align with business goals.

Major Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-performance APIs for voice, text, and AI model interactions
• Design and architect end-to-end voice AI pipelines, integrating ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition), LLM, and TTS (Text-to-Speech) components for real-time call center applications
• Lead system optimization efforts to achieve sub-second response times and high reliability
• Implement advanced error handling, fallback mechanisms, and monitoring for production systems
• Profile and optimize system latency across all components
• Architect scalable solutions for high call volumes and multi-region deployments.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6-11 years of advanced programming experience in backend development with strong skills in Python and Fast API
• Working knowledge of AI integration, such as connecting to APIs from OpenAI or other machine learning services.
• Strong knowledge in ASR (e.g., Google Speech-to-Text, AWS Transcribe, Whisper), LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Google, Azure), and TTS (e.g., Amazon Polly, Google TTS)
• Proven experience with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and real-time data streaming
• Strong background in Azure cloud and microservices architecture
• Experience with telephony protocols (SIP, RTP) and call center technologies
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience implementing and managing message queues like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Redis streams.
• Proficiency with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including query optimization and schema design.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and using tools for CI/CD, containerization, and deployment.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance tuning skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and deliver high-quality code on schedule.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to learn and share knowledge.
