Role Overview: You will be working as a full-time Fashion Merchandiser on-site in Kolkata for Uptownie, an online fashion label specializing in women's apparel, accessories, and footwear. Your primary responsibility will be to plan and develop merchandising strategies to meet the fashion needs of young women. This will involve tasks such as sourcing fabric and accessories, as well as negotiating rates with vendors. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and develop merchandising strategies to cater to the fashion needs of young women - Source fabric and accessories required for the production of apparel and accessories - Negotiate rates with vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement - Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products - Stay updated on fashion trends and market demands to guide merchandising decisions Qualification Required: - Strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with vendors and suppliers - Experience in fabric and accessories merchandising to understand the requirements of the fashion industry - Organized with good follow-up skills and proficiency in Excel for managing merchandising tasks efficiently - Attention to detail to ensure the quality and aesthetics of the products - Prior experience in fashion retail would be advantageous for this role,
