Role Overview:

Fashion Designer (Ethnic Wear)

Key Responsibilities:

• Research market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor collections in ethnic wear.
• Design and develop innovative collections lehengas, sarees, kurtis, gowns, sherwanis, and indo-western styles.
• Prepare mood boards, sketches, CAD designs, and technical sheets.
• Work closely with the sampling, embroidery, and production teams to execute designs.
• Suggest fabric choices, trims, embroidery techniques, and ornamentation.
• Ensure cost-effectiveness and production viability of designs.
• Supervise fittings and make necessary alterations for perfect finishing.
• Build vendor and supplier networks for sourcing materials.
• Mentor junior designers/trainees in the team.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree/Diploma in Fashion Designing or Textile Designing.

• 35 years of proven experience

  in ethnic wear design within a garment manufacturing setup.
• Strong portfolio showcasing ethnic collections.
• Proficiency in design software (CorelDRAW, Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD tools).
• Deep knowledge of

  traditional and modern fabrics, embroidery, and embellishments.

• Strong visualization, creativity, and market awareness.
• Ability to handle deadlines and work with production constraints.

Must-Have Expertise in Value Addition Techniques:

• Schiffli embroidery

• Multihead embroidery

• Prints

  (Pure & Polyester fabrics)

• Handwork / Surface Ornamentation

• Jacquard suits
