Farm supervisor

As a Farm Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all farm activities, including planting, cultivating, harvesting, and irrigation. Your key responsibilities will include: - Monitoring crop growth and health, identifying pests and diseases, and implementing appropriate pest control measures. - Training and supervising farm workers in planting techniques, crop maintenance, and harvest procedures. You should be able to use farming equipment to conduct show and tell sessions for farm workers and local communities. - Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations on the farm, including the safe use of equipment. - Maintaining accurate records of crop yields, expenses, and inventory levels, and reporting to farm management as needed. - Collaborating with vendors and suppliers to procure farm inputs, equipment, and supplies at competitive prices. - Planning and scheduling farm operations to optimize productivity and resource utilization. - Implementing soil management practices, including fertilization, soil testing, and crop rotation, to maintain soil health and fertility. - Overseeing the maintenance and repair of farm equipment, tools, and infrastructure. - Staying informed about new developments in agriculture, crop varieties, and farming techniques, and recommending innovative approaches to improve farm efficiency and productivity. Qualifications required for this role include: - 10th pass. - Ability to read, write, and speak in English. Proficiency in Hindi and Marathi. - Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or related field (preferred). - Minimum of 2 years of experience in farm management or commercial farming. - Strong knowledge of crop cultivation, soil management, and pest control methods. - Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team of farm workers. - Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed. - Heavy equipment license to drive tractors and operate other equipment will be preferred. - Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as required by farm operations.
