Faculty of Chemistry

You will be responsible for teaching courses in the field of Chemistry, ensuring that the content is relevant, engaging, and in line with curriculum standards. Your role will involve developing and delivering lectures, seminars, and other instructional materials using various teaching methods to cater to different learning styles. It is essential to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters active participation and critical thinking among students. Providing constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them achieve their academic and professional goals will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will be expected to conduct research in your specialized field, publish scholarly articles, and participate in academic conferences and seminars. Collaborating with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary initiatives and improve the quality of education and research within the institution will also be part of your responsibilities. Involvement in academic advising, student mentoring, and other support activities may be required as needed. To excel in this role, you must stay updated with the latest developments in the field through professional development activities, conference attendance, and networking with peers. Your contribution to the development and evaluation of academic programs and courses, including curriculum design and assessment, will be crucial. Fulfilling administrative duties related to teaching, research, and service as assigned by department chairs or academic administrators is also expected. This position is based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. The ideal candidate should hold a doctoral degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., or equivalent) in Chemistry or a related discipline from an accredited institution. Demonstrated expertise in the subject area along with a track record of scholarly achievements, such as publications, presentations, and research grants, is required. Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level is preferred.
