Job Description

Role & responsibilities 1. Production Planning & Execution: a) Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer delivery timelines and quality standards and zeal to adhere the plan. b) Allocate manpower effectively, ensuring optimal utilization of resources with minimized idle time of individual man-head. c) Monitor daily production targets, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions. d) Material Planning & Layout of structural assly from standard sizes of raw materials/plates/sheets/rod/bars/channels etc to optimize the sections & profiles with minimized waste-off/scraps. e) Bought-out parts and consumables to be made available in hand at right time when they are needed for assembly w.r.t. their delivery schedules to minimize the cash-out flow and avoiding blocked inventory, also the production progress f) Maintain regular standard items/consumables etc. to be kept always at stock in low profile. 2. Technical Expertise & Quality Control: a) Interpret engineering drawings and ensure accurate assembly of components as per specifications and drawings. b) Monitor and maintain quality standards across all production stages, ensuring high-quality workmanship and equipment aesthetics. c) Conduct regular inspections to verify alignment with design specifications and identify areas for improvement. d) Strictly adhere the Quality Policy e) Maintain strict Adherence with developing practices of the basic engineering like precise alignment, levels, degree for fabrication, assembly of precision parts and final assay including mounting of bought-out parts and routing of conduits/pipelining/anchoring brackets/trays/support pillars etc. f) Zero Tolerance on Quality Policy, Workmanship, Drawings & Specifications. 3. Team Leadership & Development: a) Lead, mentor, and motivate the shop floor team to enhance productivity and maintain a positive work environment. b) Conduct regular training sessions to improve skill-sets in assembly, parts management, and quality control. c) Address performance issues promptly and maintain open communication with the team. Develop KAIZEN practices. 4. Supplier Coordination: a) Liaison with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components. b) Coordinate with the procurement team to maintain optimal inventory levels and manage supply chain disruptions effectively. 5. Reporting & Documentation: a) Maintain accurate records of production matrix, including output, quality checks, and downtime incidents, also the shortages of stocks and expedite short-supplies. b) Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for review by senior management. c) Implement and uphold safety protocols and compliance in workshop/office/shop-floor with industry standards with digital surveillance. Preferred candidate profile a) Exposure in Electrical & Instrumentation with understanding of Electrical Circuit diagram, PLC (IO modules & Ladder diagram), Configuration sheet awareness of Controllers & HMI/Programmer. Proven ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings. b) Strong understanding of assembly processes, quality standards, and workmanship in equipment manufacturing. c) Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team. d) Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Willingness to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. Working Conditions: a) Full-time position based at the manufacturing facility. b) Requires hands-on involvement on the shop floor. c) May require extended hours during critical production deadlines.
