Job Description

*Job Description: Factory Supervisor / Factory Manager*

*Location:* Bhiwadi, Rajasthan

*Reporting To:* Operations Head / Director

*Department:* Manufacturing & Production

*Role Summary*

The Factory Supervisor/Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility engaged in MDF frame production, picture framing, finishing, polishing, painting, and precision machining. The role also covers management of CNC and laser cutting machines for MDF and acrylic. The manager will ensure production efficiency, quality output, workforce discipline, machine upkeep, and timely delivery while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

*Key Responsibilities*

Production Management

• Plan, schedule, and monitor daily production to meet order deadlines.

• Allocate tasks to operators and workers for frame making, polishing, painting, finishing, and machine operations.

• Ensure maximum utilization of CNC and laser cutting machines with minimal downtime.

• Maintain optimum raw material stock (MDF, acrylic, paints, polish, consumables) to avoid production delays.

*Quality Assurance*

• Implement and monitor strict quality control standards for frames and finishes.

• Ensure dimensional accuracy, finishing, and polish meet brand requirements.

• Address and resolve product defects, rework, and quality complaints.

*Workforce & Team Management*

• Supervise, guide, and train workers/operators on processes, safety, and efficiency.

• Maintain discipline, attendance, and performance among shop floor staff.

• Coordinate with HR for workforce requirements, overtime, and skill development.

*Machine & Process Management*

• Oversee daily operation of CNC and laser cutting machines for MDF & acrylic.

• Ensure routine maintenance, calibration, and service of machinery.

• Implement process improvements for efficiency, waste reduction, and better output.

*Health, Safety & Compliance*

• Enforce workplace safety standards (use of PPE, machine safety, fire & hazard protocols).

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe factory environment.

• Ensure compliance with statutory norms (labour, fire safety, environment).

*Coordination & Reporting*

• Liaise with the design/production planning team for cutting files, designs, and new product development.

• Provide daily/weekly production reports to management.

• Coordinate with procurement and stores for raw material flow.

*Key Skills & Competencies*

• Strong knowledge of MDF processing, painting, polishing, and finishing techniques.

• Hands-on experience with CNC and laser cutting machines for MDF & acrylic.

• Ability to manage production schedules and ensure on-time delivery.

• Strong leadership, people management, and problem-solving skills.

• Quality control orientation with attention to detail.

• Good computer skills (Excel, ERP systems, CAD/CAM basics preferred).

*Qualifications & Experience*

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering or related field (preferred).

• 5–10 years of experience in furniture, framing, wood/MDF, or allied manufacturing industry.

• Prior experience managing CNC and laser cutting operations is highly desirable.

• Proven track record in team supervision and factory floor management.
