Facility Supervisor

The Facility Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating maintenance activities related to electrical systems within the organization. You will lead a team of technicians, including electricians, plumbers, carpenters, painters, and fabricators, ensuring the smooth operation, repair, and upkeep of the infrastructure to maintain efficiency, safety, and compliance with regulations. Your primary focus should be on preventive maintenance, proactively maintaining buildings and electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and prolong electrical device lifespan. Your responsibilities will include supervising and leading a team of electricians or technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. You will plan and schedule preventive maintenance activities for electrical systems, lighting, and power distribution systems. Regular inspections of electrical equipment to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards are also part of your role. You will coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to operations. Troubleshooting electrical problems and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime will be crucial. Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment, and daily logs books, is essential. Required skills for this role include strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair techniques. Familiarity with relevant regulations and safety standards is necessary. Excellent leadership and communication skills are vital, with the ability to effectively manage a team and collaborate with other departments. You should have the flexibility to work non-standard hours and respond to emergency situations as needed. Qualifications for this position include a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in ECE/EEE or ITI Electrical. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a reputed industry, preferably within an electrical maintenance department, is required.
