About the Role:
We are seeking a talented MS Fabric Engineer to design, build, and optimize data and analytics solutions on the Microsoft Fabric platform. The ideal candi should have hands-on experience with Fabric components such as Lakehouse, Data Factory, Data Engineering notebooks, Dataflows, Power BI, and Real-Time Analytics. This role involves developing scalable pipelines, semantic models, and data workflows while collaborating with cross-functional teams
Key Responsibilities
Data Engineering & Pipeline Development
- Build and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines using:
- Fabric Data Factory (pipelines & orchestration)
- Data Engineering notebooks (Spark/Python)
- Dataflows Gen2
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for large-scale datasets.
- Implement reusable modules for data ingestion, cleansing, quality checks, and transformations.
Fabric Platform Expertise
- Work with core Microsoft Fabric components including:
- OneLake & Lakehouse architecture
- Fabric Warehouse & SQL Endpoints
- KQL for Real-Time Analytics
- Power BI semantic models & reporting layers
- Develop efficient data models, star schemas, and analytics-ready structures.
- Configure Fabric workspaces, permissions, and governance according to best practices.
Solution Development & Collaboration
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications with BAs and PMs.
- Collaborate with architects, Power BI developers, and QA teams for seamless delivery.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and daily stand-ups (Agile environment).
- Support deployments, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of Fabric workloads.
Quality, Testing & Documentation
- Prepare technical documentation including data dictionaries, pipeline flows, and solution designs.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across Fabric components.
- Support QA teams with test data, validation queries, and scenario clarification.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for data issues and implement fixes.
Ideal Candi Profile
- 5-7 years of experience in data engineering or BI engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or strong Azure data stack experience.
- Strong proficiency in:
- SQL
- Python / PySpark
- Data modeling concepts (schema design, star/snowflake models)
- Experience with Power BI (semantic modeling, DAX is a plus).
- Strong understanding of cloud data warehousing and lakehouse architectures.
- Ability to work in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure services (ADF, ADLS, Databricks, Synapse).
- Exposure to CI/CD via Azure DevOps or Gi b.
- Familiarity with data governance, cataloging, and security best practices.
- Experience in BFSI, Retail, or other domain-specific data projects.
- Microsoft Certification in Fabric or Azure Data Engineering (preferred).
