Fabric Checker

Role Overview: As a Fabric Checker, your main objective is to ensure that all incoming fabrics meet the company's quality standards. You will be responsible for performing detailed inspections for defects, measurements, color consistency, and overall quality before issuance to production. Key Responsibilities: - Inspect incoming and in-house fabrics for defects such as holes, stains, weaving faults, and color variation. - Utilize the 4-point system or company's standard inspection method to evaluate fabric quality. - Check fabric width, GSM, shade, and hand feel according to the approved sample. - Record all inspection findings accurately in the fabric inspection report. - Tag and segregate defective rolls for further review or rejection. - Maintain daily inspection logs and submit them to the Fabric In-Charge or QA team. - Coordinate with the Fabric Store and Merchandising teams for fabric status updates. - Inform the supervisor immediately if any major quality deviations are found. - Ensure proper handling, unrolling, and refolding of fabric rolls during inspection. - Maintain cleanliness and order in the inspection area. - Follow all company safety protocols and quality assurance standards. - Support in fabric audits and assist during third-party inspections when required. Qualification Required: - Minimum 10th / 12th Pass or Diploma in Textile Technology preferred. - 3 years of experience in fabric inspection or quality department in a textile/garment manufacturing setup. Additional Details: This is a full-time, permanent role based in a factory/unit where standing and manual fabric handling are required. Shift duties may be applicable.
