Job Title:

EBM (Extrusion Blow Molding) Production Engineer

Department:

Production / Manufacturing

Location:

Hosur, Tamil Nadu

Salary Budget:

35,000 45,000 per month (based on experience and skillset)

Duty Hours:

Rotation Shift Basis

Core Production Responsibilities

  • Monitor EBM Machine Operations

    : Ensure smooth daily production flow and troubleshoot process deviations.
  • Optimize Process Parameters

    : Adjust settings to maintain consistent product quality and minimize defects.
  • Conduct Mold Changeovers & Trials

    : Set up machines for new products and validate output through trials.

Shift & Team Management

  • Lead Shift Activities

    : Supervise manpower, ensure productivity, and maintain adherence to production schedules.
  • Train Operators

    : Educate staff on machine handling, safety protocols, and 5S methodology.

Compliance & Hygiene Oversight

  • Uphold Safety Standards

    : Enforce GMP, FSSAI/BRC norms, and hygiene protocols, especially in food-grade environments.
  • Support Audit Readiness

    : Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with internal and external audits.

Maintenance & Technical Coordination

  • Coordinate Preventive Maintenance

    : Work with maintenance teams to schedule and execute equipment servicing.
  • Assist in Root Cause Analysis

    : Investigate breakdowns and implement corrective actions.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain Production Records

    : Log shift reports, rejection analysis, and machine performance data.
  • Support Continuous Improvement

    : Identify process gaps and recommend enhancements.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of EBM machines and tooling (preferably Kautex, Bekum, Uniloy)
  • Understanding of polymer behavior HDPE, PP processing
  • Familiarity with GMP, FSSAI/BRC, and safety protocols in a food manufacturing setup
  • Experience in shift handling, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
  • Effective team management and communication skills

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or B.E. in Mechanical / Plastics / Polymer / Production Engineering
  • 25 years of hands-on experience in Extrusion Blow Molding operations

EBM Maintenance Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance:

    Conduct routine preventive maintenance and promptly address breakdowns on EBM machines to minimize downtime.
  • Machine Diagnostics & Repair:

    Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults in EBM equipment.
  • Mold Maintenance & Changeovers:

    Support mold changeovers with proper alignment, setting, and preventive upkeep.
  • Documentation & Reporting:

    Maintain maintenance logs, service records, and breakdown analysis reports for audit compliance.
  • Safety & Compliance:

    Ensure adherence to safety standards, GMP, and food-grade plant maintenance protocols.
  • Spares Management:

    Coordinate with the store team to ensure availability of critical spare parts and maintain inventory.
  • Support Production:

    Work closely with the production team to optimize machine efficiency and plan maintenance schedules with minimal disruption.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong technical knowledge of EBM machinery
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical assemblies, hydraulic systems, and PLC basics
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance schedules and documentation systems
  • Understanding of hygiene standards in a food manufacturing environment
  • Basic understanding of ISO/FSSC maintenance requirements
  • Ability to handle root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA)

Qualifications:

  • Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering
  • 2–5 years of experience in maintenance of EBM or similar plastic processing equipment
