You will be responsible for creating and leading the quality engineering & automation framework for SonyLIV platform. As a Tech Lead - QA Automation in the Digital Business function at Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of the platform. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, scripting, and running test automation on platforms such as Appium, Selenium, Cucumber (BDD), and Robot Framework for Web and Mobile applications. Proficiency in Java/Python programming skills will be essential for developing and executing automated API/UI/Unit tests to enable continuous delivery. Moreover, you will be required to design and implement quality processes and metrics for applications across platforms like Android, iOS, web browsers, Smart TVs, and Android/Apple TV. Your expertise in CI/CD tools like Git, Jenkins, and BitBucket will be instrumental for automation and remote execution. Additionally, you will need to have a good understanding of scripting languages, code management tools, and frameworks for performance and KPIs. As part of your role, you will be responsible for developing automation dashboards and reports using tools such as Allure or Extent Reports to support quality engineering. You will also be in charge of maintaining automation frameworks like Cucumber, Robot, and Pytest, as well as automating the reporting/logging of bugs using tools like Jira and Xray. To excel in this position, you must be a good team player and leader with the ability to work independently under pressure. A strategic thinker with a balance between execution and strategy will be essential for developing functional strategies that add value to the business. Moreover, you should possess a sense of urgency, excellent execution skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity effectively. In terms of technical competencies, you should have hands-on experience in Automation framework development, Web Technologies, Web Services, and APIs Gateways for mobile apps. Proficiency in tools like Android Studio, Xcode, Eclipse, Appium, Jenkins, Jira, and Confluence will be advantageous. Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JS, and scripting languages are also required.
