Role Overview: As a facial therapist, also known as an esthetician or skin therapist, your role involves analyzing and treating the skin to enhance its health and appearance. You will be responsible for performing facials, administering treatments like chemical peels and hair removal, recommending skincare products, and maintaining a clean work environment. Key Responsibilities: - Client Consultation and Treatment Planning: - Conduct thorough skin analyses to evaluate skin conditions, concerns, and types. - Consult with clients to understand their goals and suggest suitable treatments and skincare routines. - Develop personalized skin treatment plans and "skin journeys" for clients. - Skin Treatments: - Perform facials, including cleansing, toning, exfoliation, and facial massage. - Administer advanced treatments like chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and skin rejuvenation therapies. - Product Recommendations: - Advise clients on appropriate skincare products and promote sales. - Educate clients on effective skincare routines for maintaining results. - Client Records and Appointments: - Schedule client appointments and manage the booking system efficiently. - Maintain accurate client records, documenting treatment history and progress notes. - Hygiene and Safety: - Ensure treatment rooms and equipment are clean and sterilized following health and safety guidelines. - Adhere to safe work practices to minimize environmental impact. - Professional Development: - Stay updated on new skincare products, emerging treatments, and industry advancements. Qualifications Required: - Certification/Licensure: Possess a diploma or certification in esthetics or cosmetology. - Skincare Knowledge - Technical Skills: Proficiency in performing various skincare treatments and operating related equipment safely. - Communication: Ability to clearly explain treatments, provide advice, and address client concerns professionally. - Customer Service: Deliver a welcoming and satisfying client experience. - Attention to Detail: Work meticulously while maintaining high cleanliness and service standards. - Physical Fitness: Ability to work actively and stand for extended periods. It is also required that you have a high school diploma and all certifications and licenses necessary to perform services. Preferred experience in working with aesthetics and skin is a plus.
