As a Director at a leading Big4 India practice firm based in Mumbai, your primary role will involve leading teams in various M&A pre- and post-deal activities. You will directly contribute to clients by assisting them with planning and execution elements in deal/M&A PMI IT scenarios. Your responsibilities will include supporting business development by developing new business in areas such as Diligence, integration, carve-out, and synergy assessment. You will lead and work on proposals, thought leadership, and other practice initiatives. Additionally, you will build and lead a team for the Financial Services Community of Practitioners (CoP) and support in training the team across various Financial Services M&A capabilities. Regarding integration and carve-out support, you will need to understand the integration or carve-out vision and strategy outlined in the deal objectives. You will work with C-suite executives, internal stakeholders, and business partners to identify guiding principles, evaluate deal feasibility, assess business capabilities, and identify operational issues and risks. You will also lead the Integration Management office (IMO) for end-to-end program management, establish target operating models, and undertake detailed functional planning for various stages post-deal. To be successful in this role, you should have a strong interest in consulting, specifically in complex exercises, with at least 12 years of relevant experience. You must possess client-facing M&A experience in serving Financial Services players such as Banks, Insurance companies, NBFCs, and Fintech firms. Additionally, prior experience in business development, client relationship management, and technology-led transformation programs is essential. Competency in technical disciplines such as enterprise systems implementation, IT architecture, post-merger IT integration, and process reengineering is preferred.
