Executive Design Engineer

You are a highly motivated Executive Design Engineer with a strong expertise in Automotive Powertrain component design, specifically focusing on Engine Castings using PTC Creo Parametric. Your role will involve end-to-end design, development, and integration of powertrain systems. You will ensure compliance with engineering standards and deliver innovative solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Your key responsibilities will include designing and developing automotive powertrain systems and associated components with a specific focus on engine castings. You will be responsible for creating 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings using PTC Creo Parametric. Conducting design reviews, providing engineering documentation, and liaising with internal teams such as Simulation, Testing, Suppliers, Sourcing, and Manufacturing to support design activities will also be part of your role. As an Executive Design Engineer, you will resolve design constraints and establish structural, electrical, and thermal interfaces. You will provide inputs for Bill of Materials (BOM) activities and ensure alignment with project timelines. Driving Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) activities, as well as conducting tolerance stack-up analysis, will be crucial aspects of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will ensure that all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements. Supporting cross-functional collaboration to integrate powertrain systems into the overall vehicle architecture will also be a key part of your role. To qualify for this position, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering. A minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical design and development of automotive powertrain components is required. Strong hands-on expertise in PTC Creo Parametric is mandatory for this role. You should have a proven track record in engine casting design and possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and design validation expertise.
