Job Description

As the Team Manager at Standard Chartered, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of the team, ensuring accountability for their results, and setting targets to review and manage individual and team performance. Your role will involve motivating and training the team to optimize performance, ensuring that targets are met, and preventing the provision of incorrect information or mis-selling to customers. You will be tasked with conducting regular performance reviews with the team, assisting in job performance evaluations, and identifying and reporting training needs. Additionally, you will be involved in handling escalations, initiating process improvements, and finding solutions to ensure positive outcomes. Monthly reviews and reporting on Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) will also be part of your responsibilities. To reduce attrition rates and maintain them within the organization's prescribed limits, you will need to ensure compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and group policies. Furthermore, you will be required to be aware of the Group's business strategy, understand the client care center's role, and navigate the economic and market environment in which the Group operates. In terms of talent management, you will lead by example, build a culture aligned with the organization's values, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for your team members. Risk management, governance oversight, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder management are also crucial aspects of the role. To be successful in this position, you should possess customer service experience, strong communication skills, and exposure to sales. A minimum of 2 years of sales experience, along with a graduate or undergraduate degree, is required. Key competencies for this role include being action-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of making quality decisions.
