EUCS Tools SCCM Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• SCCM Administration:

  Administer and manage

  Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)

  , ensuring optimal performance and availability. This includes managing client health, package and application deployment, software metering, operating system deployment (OSD), and patch management.

• Endpoint Configuration:

  Develop and implement robust configurations for Windows endpoints to ensure security compliance, software updates, and optimized performance across the enterprise.

• Software Deployment:

  Plan, test, and deploy software applications, updates, and patches efficiently to a large user base using SCCM.

• Operating System Deployment (OSD):

  Manage and automate operating system deployment processes, including image creation, task sequences, and driver management within SCCM.

• Patch Management:

  Oversee and execute the patching cycles for Windows operating systems and third-party applications using SCCM, ensuring systems are up-to-date and secure.

• Inventory & Reporting:

  Utilize SCCM's inventory capabilities to collect hardware and software information. Generate detailed reports on system configurations, software compliance, patch status, and other key metrics for management and auditing.

• Troubleshooting:

  Perform in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis for issues related to SCCM deployments, client communication, software installations, and endpoint configurations.

• EUCS Tool Integration:

  Work with and integrate SCCM with other End User Computing Services (EUCS) tools to streamline workflows and enhance endpoint management capabilities.

• Documentation:

  Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for SCCM configurations, procedures, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures.

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with other IT teams, including security, network, and helpdesk, to ensure seamless endpoint operations and effective support for end-users.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• SCCM Expertise:

  Strong hands-on experience in administering and managing

  Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)

  , including deep knowledge of its various components and features.

• Windows OS Knowledge:

  In-depth understanding of Windows operating systems (client and server versions), Active Directory, Group Policy, and registry.

• Endpoint Management Concepts:

  Solid understanding of endpoint security, patch management, software deployment, and system imaging principles.

• Problem-Solving:

  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.

• Scripting (Plus):

  Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automating SCCM tasks and managing endpoints is a plus.

• Communication:

  Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

• Education:

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, SCCM) are a strong plus.
