ETP / STP Operator

Job Purpose:

To operate, monitor, and maintain the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) / Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards, and to achieve efficient treatment of wastewater.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor all units of the ETP/STP, including pumps, blowers, clarifiers, filters, and sludge handling systems.
• Record operational data such as flow rates, pH, temperature, and other process parameters.
• Ensure wastewater is treated and discharged as per pollution control norms.
• Conduct routine inspection and preventive maintenance of plant equipment.
• Collect and test water samples to ensure treatment quality.
• Manage chemical dosing and maintain stock of treatment chemicals.
• Report any equipment malfunction or abnormalities to the supervisor immediately.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety within the plant premises.
• Follow all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) protocols and compliance guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (preferred).
• Minimum 3–8 years of experience in operating ETP/STP plants.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and equipment.
• Ability to read and understand operation manuals and log sheets.
• Basic knowledge of water testing parameters (pH, TSS, BOD, COD, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions:

• Shift-based operations (including weekends or holidays if required).
• Exposure to wastewater, chemicals, and outdoor conditions with required PPE provided.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
