ETL Tester

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of ETL processes and data warehouse testing. Your key responsibilities will include: - Reviewing requirements and specifications to define test conditions. - Designing test cases and scripts, mapping back to predetermined criteria, and recording and reporting outcomes. - Providing estimates for testing activities and tasks. - Preparing Test Strategy, developing Test Plan, Detailed Test Cases, writing Test Scripts based on Business Requirements, and creating Test Scenarios. - Performing backend (database) testing using complex SQL queries in Oracle and conducting regression and integration testing. - Analyzing test results, logging defects in JIRA, and collaborating with the project team on issue resolution and re-testing. - Documenting, maintaining, tracking, and reporting test status using tools such as ALM, JIRA, or qTest. Qualifications required for this role include: - 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience. - 4+ years of ETL Processes/Data Warehouse Testing experience. - Minimum 1+ years of experience in Python (Pandas). - Hands-on experience in ORACLE database technologies, including writing complex ORACLE SQL and PL/SQL scripts for data validation. - Experience in ETL Processes, BI testing (QlikView, Cognos, etc.), and analyzing Source Systems, Staging area, Fact and Dimension tables in Target D/W. - Knowledge of No-SQL databases is a plus. - Proficiency in defect tracking/Quality assurance tools such as ALM and JIRA, with experience in qTest being a plus. - Competent technical skills, good time management skills, and the ability to work both in a team and individually. - Experience with QA processes and deliverables in an Agile/SCRUM environment. - Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with varying audiences. - Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). - Financial domain experience is a plus. - Well-versed with all stages of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
