ETL Tester

Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled ETL Tester with strong expertise in Snowflake and data validation to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate should have 58 years of experience in ETL testing, strong SQL skills, and proven experience working in cloud data platformsespecially Snowflake. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and execute test cases for ETL workflows and data pipelines. • Perform data validation and reconciliation between source systems and Snowflake. • Verify data completeness, accuracy, transformation logic, and data quality rules. • Collaborate with data engineers and business analysts to understand data flow and transformation logic. • Develop SQL queries to validate large datasets and perform manual and automated testing. • Test performance and scalability of Snowflake data models and transformations. • Validate data ingestion from various sources into Snowflake (e.g., S3, Azure Blob, APIs). • Create test plans, test cases, test scripts, and defect tracking documentation. • Work in Agile/Scrum teams and participate in sprint planning and retrospectives. • Work with CI/CD pipelines for test automation in data environments. Required Skills: • 58 years of ETL/Data Warehouse testing experience. • Minimum 2 years of experience with Snowflake understanding Snowflake architecture, SQL, and data warehousing concepts. • Strong knowledge of SQL (complex joins, CTEs, window functions). • Familiarity with ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, DataStage, or Azure Data Factory. • Experience in testing data pipelines across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). • Experience in data quality testing, data profiling, and data lineage validation. • Proficient in defect tracking tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps. • Knowledge of automation frameworks for ETL testing is a plus (e.g., Python, Selenium, dbt tests)
