Estimator

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a civil engineering background and Gulf experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for civil, interior, and fit-out projects by analyzing drawings, specifications, and other documents. The candidate should be familiar with GCC construction standards, materials, and pricing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project drawings, BOQs, and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Analyze project requirements and determine quantities, materials, labor, and equipment costs.
• Obtain quotations from vendors and subcontractors and evaluate their pricing.
• Prepare and submit competitive tenders, proposals, and cost breakdowns.
• Coordinate with the design and project teams to ensure estimates align with project scope and timelines.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
• Update and maintain a database of material and labor rates.
• Participate in project handover meetings and support the team during project execution.
• Stay up to date with market trends, new materials, and construction methods in the Gulf region.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an Estimator in the Gulf region (UAE, Qatar, Oman, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of civil, interior, and fit-out works estimation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software (e.g., Candy, Primavera, or similar).
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with GCC tendering procedures and local pricing standards.
• Experience in both pre-contract and post-contract estimation.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in cost analysis.
