Estimation Engineer

• COMPETENCY PROFILE

Carryout Bid Estimations for Mechanical Components like Pressure Vessels, Piping & Valves, and other mechanical components.

1. Coordination with Internal technical Team and vendors to close out Technical Bid evaluation.

Familiar with ASME Mechanical Calculation Reports.

Familiar with Oil and Gas Instrumentations.

Familiar to Oil and Gas Process Packages (Separators, Desalters, Treaters, Gas Dehydration, Bath heaters

Familiar with Design Compliance to Canadian Registration, National Board, ABS, and PED.

Familiar to P&ID, PFD, Piping Components & Manual Valves are advantageous

Familiar with Technical Bid evaluation of with different vendors.

Responsible for the projects mechanical construction with in the Estimated or budgeted cost

Role & responsibilities

• Preparing cost estimation sheet for the proposals.
• Validate the estimates during project execution
• Arriving at the competitive cost and accurate estimation for the proposal.
• Coordination with the respective discipline engineers for necessary estimation inputs.
• Using the excel spreadsheet to determine the cost of the proposal.
• Maintaining & updating the database for estimation for various raw materials, bought outs and specialty items.
• Review with procurement team about the current price and constantly update the estimation database.
• Planning & organizing the performance factors used for adjusting the estimates.
• Responsible for implementing QMS procedure & maintaining related documentation with respect their task assigned.
• Close work with Department head to collect and monitoring of actual Manpower, Man-hours spent, tools used & other factors to arrive at accurate estimates.
• Coordination with Technical team to Preparation of Equipment Specification and RFQ for the package Vendor.
• • Coordination of Mechanical engineering design and drafting.
• • Development and Improvement of company standards and design methods.
• • Scheduling, Planning and Estimating activities.
• • Developing good relationship with sub vendors and get the best price from them.
• • Safety responsible for personal safety working practices for the Oil and Gas Business Unit Understand and follow OH&S procedures.

Preferred candidate profile

SOFTWARE SKILLS

• Familiar ASME Code Vessel Design by Codeware Compress and or PVElite.
• Familiar with AutoCAD
• MS OFFICE Softwares

COMMUNICATION & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

• Fluent English written and spoken.
• Excellent communication, written, credibility & presentation skills.
• Willing to travel overseas.
• Regular and good interaction peer professional staff and team members
• Follow the processes and policies as per company norms.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in the cost estimation of the packages which involves Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchanger, Manual valves, Structural and Piping Design of the Oil and Gas design field.
