Estimation and Billing Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Taking off quantities from AutoCAD drawings and prepare Bill of Quantities

• Compare the BOQ with the site, and make a report.

• Advising & billing for extra-items / Non-BOQ items / claims.

• Preparing & managing Budget sheets & coordinate with the procurement,
design & site team to ensure that the target budget is achieved. Keeping thesenior management updated with regards to the budget.• Participate in Vendor Negotiation & provide technical clarity to all partiesinvolved.• Manage & study client requests and submittals from Clients, Consultants,construction job sites, suppliers, contractors and subcontractors and reviewtender drawings and all required technical documents such as manuals andinstructions.• Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determineproject feasibility.• Preparing & sending Quotations, BOQs, Technical Data Sheets, Samples, ShopDrawings, Test Reports, and Certifications as per client and/or projectrequirements.• Apply cost control methods in the BOQ ensuring that the achieved cost is as perthe set budget.• Determine project design specifications, standards, budget and timescales asper project requirement.• Study and prepare requests for information (RFI) for all missing, unclear,conflicting or other technical matters that may arise during the project
