Description
As a Geospatial Systems Administrator at Jacobs, you will play a crucial role in leading coordination between Jacobs" consulting business for Geospatial and Corporate IT in your region. Your responsibilities will include managing ESRI ArcGIS enterprise and server administration, designing and building GIS systems to meet evolving needs, and creating documentation for best practices and SOPs. You will be tasked with Windows Server and IIS Administration, utilizing the ServiceNow ticketing system for user support, and working extensively with relational database management systems like MS SQL Server and Oracle. Additionally, you will collaborate with cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, and GCP, author Knowledge Base articles for end-user self-service, and refine support delivery for Global Enterprise GIS systems. In this role, you will work closely with a diverse team of IT professionals, scientists, planners, engineers, and Geospatial Teams to effectively communicate with clients, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and internal team members. You will define business requirements, configure ESRI technology to meet them, and leverage your expertise in ITIL service management concepts and methodologies. To be successful in this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in applicable engineering from a reputable university and possess excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Preferred experience includes previous work with service desk systems in an IT environment, experience in an Engineering company, and familiarity with FME Desktop and FME Server.
