ESG Research Support

You will be supporting the European ESG team focusing on highlighting thematic trends related to Environment, Social, and Governance guidelines. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Developing and maintaining excel models to evaluate fund ownership for Global companies, sectors, and regions. - Performing stringent data quality checks on third party ESG data using financial databases and company filings to ensure the robustness of data for modeling purposes. - Creating, updating, and maintaining comprehensive Excel databases on ESG data. - Assisting the team in running back-tests of ESG related strategies and applying quantitative techniques to analyze historical and future trends. - Contributing to research report writing and summarizing peer research on thematic topics, mostly related to investment strategy for ESG investors. - Assisting the onshore team on a day-to-day basis and working on ad-hoc requests. - Helping the team analyze macro-level ESG trends to write thematic reports. Preferred candidates for this role are proactive individuals with experience in top-down macro research and basic Python coding skills, with a keen interest in working in the ESG domain. Key skills required for this role include advanced MS Excel skills and experience in report writing. Experience with VBA macros/Python, especially with Python libraries such as Numpy, Pandas, and Matplotlib, is preferred. Additionally, database skills are essential, preferably with experience in Bloomberg Finance LP, Datastream Eikon, or similar financial databases. Knowledge of various company filings and basic finance knowledge around valuations, financial ratios, and data extraction from company filings will be beneficial for this role.,
