Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced ERPNext Techno-Functional Consultant with a deep understanding of Finance & Accounting and Procure to Pay business processes. The ideal candidate will not only have strong expertise in gathering business requirements and designing functional solutions but also be highly proficient in configuring ERPNext modules. The consultant will take ownership of configuring key modules such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), Purchase Orders (PO), Supplier Management, and Procure to Pay workflows. This role will require you to collaborate closely with business users and developers to implement tailored ERP solutions that align with the companys financial and procurement needs. Key Responsibilities: A) Business Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Conduct detailed discussions with business stakeholders to identify and document requirements related to Finance & Accounting and Procure to Pay processes. Gather detailed requirements for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Vendor Management, Purchase Order Management, Invoice Processing, and Payment Processing workflows. Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement within ERPNext, ensuring the solution can meet both current and future needs. B) ERPNext Configuration: 1) Finance & Accounting: General Ledger (GL) Setup: Configure the chart of accounts, cost centers, and dimensions to align with business needs. Accounts Payable & Receivable: Set up payment terms, accounting rules, supplier/customer profiles, and aging reports. Bank Reconciliation: Configure automated bank feeds and reconcile cash/bank transactions in ERPNext. Taxation: Implement tax management features, including GST/VAT, and configure tax rules, tax categories, and taxinclusive pricing. Journal Entries: Automate and configure recurring journal entries, inter-company postings, and integration with the general ledger. 2) Procure to Pay: Purchase Orders (PO): Configure purchase order workflow, approval processes, and supplier terms. Supplier Management: Configure vendor records, purchase agreements, and payment terms. Stock & Inventory: Set up stock levels, item categories, and inventory tracking features to integrate with procurement processes. Purchase Invoices: Automate PO-to-invoice matching, approval, and integration with the accounting module. Payments: Set up payment processing for suppliers, including integration with GL accounts and bank accounts. 3) Other Core Modules: Accounts Closing: Configure month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Reporting & Dashboards: Develop and configure customized financial and procurement reports, such as Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow Statements, and Vendor Payment History. Document Management: Implement document storage and integration for invoices, purchase orders, and payment receipts. C) Solution Design & Documentation: Create detailed functional specifications, process flow diagrams, and configuration documentation for the implemented solutions. Provide business process documentation for end users, including step-bystep guides on using ERPNext for Finance & Accounting and Procure to Pay activities. Ensure all configurations are clearly documented, and share knowledge to empower users and stakeholders. D) Collaboration with Development Team: Provide functional and technical expertise to the development team to ensure custom developments are aligned with business needs. Collaborate on customizing ERPNext workflows, creating additional reports, dashboards, and automation where necessary. Manage configuration changes and system updates to ensure they are properly tested, documented, and communicated. E) Continuous Improvement: Identify areas of improvement in the ERPNext system and propose enhancements to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. Stay current on ERPNext releases and ensure the latest features are leveraged to improve business processes. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience as a Techno-Functional Consultant with a focus on ERPNext, specializing in Finance & Accounting and Procure to Pay processes. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience configuring key ERPNext modules, including: General Ledger (Chart of Accounts, Tax Configuration, Journals)Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)Procure to Pay (Purchase Orders, Vendor Management, Supplier Payments)Bank Reconciliation and Tax Management. Strong understanding of finance workflows (invoice processing, payment processing, and financial reporting). Demonstrated experience in configuring reports, dashboards, and financial statements in ERPNext. Solid understanding of business process mapping and workflow automation within ERPNext. Proficient in configuring custom fields, custom scripts, and automation workflows in ERPNext. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities with a keen focus on solution delivery. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with business users, developers, and management. Preferred Skills: ERPNext Certification or similar certifications in ERP system implementations. Experience in implementing custom features, third-party integrations, or automation within ERPNext. Knowledge of SQL and Python for advanced ERPNext customizations. Experience in project management and leading end-to-end implementations of ERP systems.
