Equity Analyst

Equity Analyst Location: Mumbai Experience: 13 years Working Days: Monday to Friday & Alternate Saturdays Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Equity Analyst to join our finance team The ideal candidate will have 13 years of experience in equity analysis or financial research, with a strong foundation in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and capital markets This role is pivotal in supporting fundraising efforts, investor engagement, and internal strategic initiatives Key Responsibilities: ? Conduct equity research and financial analysis to support fundraising and strategic investment decisions ? Build, maintain, and update detailed financial and valuation models, stress-test assumptions, and prepare scenario analyses ? Prepare investor presentations, pitch decks, and information memorandums for external stakeholders ? Track market trends, peer performance, and industry benchmarks?especially within the EV and clean-tech space ? Perform valuation exercises using methods such as DCF, comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions ? Coordinate with investors, financial advisors, consultants, and internal cross-functional teams for data and input ? Provide strategic insights to the leadership team based on financial research and competitive intelligence ? Collaborate with teams such as strategy, operations, and marketing for data gathering and input into models and presentations Preferred Background (Must-Have Experience in One of the Below): ? Boutique investment banks who have prepared marketing collaterals including financial models for equity fundraising or M&A ? Founders Office roles in startups that have raised multiple rounds of equity, where the candidate was responsible for preparing and updating models and fundraising decks ? Transaction Advisory Services (FDD, CDD, or Valuation teams) at Big 4 firms (EY, PwC, Deloitte, KPMG) or Tier-2 firms (Grant Thornton, BDO, etc-) Key Requirements: ? Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA/CFA Level I preferred) ? 13 years of experience in equity research, investment banking, or transaction advisory ? Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with databases such as Capital IQ, PitchBook, or Refinitiv is a plus ? Strong analytical skills with the ability to build and explain complex models ? Excellent communication skills for presenting insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders ? Interest or exposure to the electric vehicle or sustainable technology sectors is an added advantage Show more Show less
