Equity analyst

As an Equity Analyst, you will be responsible for studying public companies and providing recommendations on whether to buy, sell, or hold their stocks. Your key duties will include analyzing financial statements such as the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow, as well as preparing financial models to forecast future earnings. It will be essential to track industry trends, news, and macroeconomic developments to evaluate the company's performance and future prospects accurately. Furthermore, you will be expected to write research reports with investment recommendations, monitor stock price movements and company performance, and attend earnings calls, AGMs, and interact with company management. Collaborating closely with portfolio managers, traders, or clients will also be part of your regular tasks. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business. An MBA, CFA, or CA would be preferred for senior positions. A strong understanding of financial statements and valuation techniques, along with proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data tools like Bloomberg and Reuters, will be crucial for success in this position. The key skills required for this role include analytical thinking, financial modeling, communication and report writing, market awareness, and time management. This is a full-time, permanent position with the option to work remotely. The schedule may involve day shifts, night shifts, and performance bonuses.
