The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a key competence center with over 3000 skilled engineers specializing in tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project management, system testing, installation, documentation, and commissioning. Serving as the largest Operations hub, the India Operations Centre in Chennai, Bangalore, and Gurugram provides support to Hitachi Energy's units in over 40 countries, executing engineering and commissioning projects globally. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Project Engineer to drive the response to supplier document comments, maintain tracker sheets, and collaborate with disciplines, suppliers, and customers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions aligned with industry standards and customer needs. How you'll make an impact: - Support driving supplier documents and coordinate with other departments while maintaining a clear tracker of documents - Lead the design and specification of main circuit equipment for high-voltage systems - Conduct equipment-related studies to ensure compliance with contract specifications, quality, and safety standards - Coordinate and review technical documentation, evaluate designs, and provide cross-disciplinary technical support - Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to define technical requirements and communicate them to suppliers - Participate in equipment testing, site commissioning, and evaluate supplier proposals - Work closely with design teams to drive continuous improvement and engage directly with customers and suppliers - Maintain a professional network, share best practices, and uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety, integrity, and responsibility Your Background: - Professional Degree or Masters in electrical engineering - Extensive knowledge of Power Systems studies and electrical network modeling - Strong understanding of Electrical Power System design and familiarity with international standards (IEC, IEEE, DIN) - Knowledge of Power Electronics applications in HV/EHV systems is a plus - Proficiency in equipment selection, sizing, and integration based on customer specifications - Deep understanding of Power Systems equipment including Transformers, Capacitors, Reactors, Circuit Breakers, etc. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Fluent in English; knowledge of French, German, or Swedish is advantageous Qualified individuals with disabilities may request reasonable accommodations to access the Hitachi Energy career site.
