Position Overview

We are seeking an Environmental Safety Officer to join our chemical manufacturing facility located in Sarigam, Vapi. The role involves ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations, managing risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- *Environmental Compliance*: Ensure operations comply with environmental laws and regulations.

- *Safety Management*: Implement and monitor safety procedures and protocols.

- *Risk Assessment & Mitigation*: Identify environmental and safety hazards; suggest and implement controls.

- *Training & Awareness*: Conduct training programs for employees on environmental safety practices.

- *Documentation & Reporting*: Maintain records; report incidents and compliance status as required.

- *Audits & Inspections*: Conduct/participate in environmental and safety audits/inspections.

- *Collaboration*: Work with production, maintenance teams for safety and environmental alignment.

Qualifications

- *Education*: Graduate degree/diploma in Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, Chemical Engineering or related field.

- *Experience*: 2-4 years of experience in environmental safety, preferably in chemical industry.

- *Certifications*: ADIS, PDIS or similar certifications in safety management beneficial.

Skills Required

- *Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills*: Strong ability to assess risks and implement controls.

- *Communication Skills*: Good verbal and written communication.

- *Knowledge of Regulations*: Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations applicable to chemical industry.

- *Team Player*: Ability to work collaboratively.

Job Details

- *Location*: Sarigam, Vapi.

- *Salary*: ₹6-7 lakhs per annum.

- *Working Hours*: Typically 8-9 hours, Monday to Saturday.

- *Industry*: Chemical manufacturing.
