Your role involves a variety of tasks and responsibilities including design assistance, technical drawings, project research, site visits, computer-aided design (CAD), 3D modeling and rendering, coordination, code compliance, documentation, professional development, client interaction, sustainability, environmental considerations, and model building. In terms of design assistance, you will be involved in conceptualizing and developing architectural projects by creating initial sketches, 3D models, and renderings to visualize design concepts. You will also be responsible for preparing and revising detailed architectural drawings such as floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details, which are vital for construction and permit applications. You will accompany senior architects to construction sites for inspections and surveys to ensure that the construction aligns with the design plans. Proficiency in CAD software like AutoCAD and Revit is essential for creating and editing architectural drawings. You should also be comfortable using 3D modeling and rendering software such as SketchUp, Revit, or 3DS Max to present design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
