Job Description

Role & responsibilities Ensure strict compliance with all environmental laws, regulations, and statutory requirements (such as CPCB, SPCB, MOEF guidelines). Monitor and maintain air, water, noise, and waste parameters as per prescribed limits. Manage and maintain records for emissions, effluent discharge, hazardous waste, and other environmental KPIs. Coordinate with government authorities for consents, permits (CTO, CTE), returns, and audits. Conduct environmental impact assessments and propose control measures for pollution abatement. Prepare and submit environmental reports (Form IV, Annual Returns, etc.) on time. Conduct awareness programs and internal audits to promote environmental responsibility among employees. Liaise with departments to implement best practices in waste minimization, water conservation, and resource efficiency. Supervise green belt development, rainwater harvesting, and environmental sustainability initiatives. Preferred candidate profile M.Sc./B.Tech / M.Tech / in Environmental Science/Engineering . Minimum 2-5 years of experience in environment management preferably iron & steel. Sound knowledge of environmental legislations, permits, and reporting procedures. Proficient in MS Office, online return filing portals, and environmental monitoring equipment.
